Is it possible to purchase and drive a fully road legal Mitsubishi Evolution 7, 8 or 9 in Canada? I am in the market for a nice car and was interested in the EVO. l do not really like the styling of the new EVO X, and was only interested in the EVO 7-9. So is it possible? Can l just go down to USA, buy one and drive it back? I've seen the newer Pontiac GTO is for sale in Canada, even though it was never released here(as far as l know). So how about the EVO? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Yes, u can buy the Evo 7,8 or 9 & bring into Canada but u just can not drive it on any public road or street. it has to be towed to ur house & sit there until it turns 15 years old.. You would have to wait for any of the Evos to turn exactly 15 years old or older in order for u to be able to drive it on public roads. the X is already here in Canada, why not buy it. l know u do not like the look of the new Evo but that is what the name stands for, EVOLUTION. It Evolves. Oh, u can drive the 7-9 Evo if u r involved in like WRC Competition, still it has to be towed to racetrack. Just go get the X & drive!
