l tried to get an approved smog check but it failed cause it didnt have an EGR valve. does it have that mechanism? or is there an alternative or explanation of what/how to pass the smog?

l dont think you have an EGR valve. Go to the website below. Some tips to help you pass:

You also may want to check your oxygen sensors and catalytic converter,make sure they are okay. If they are bad it could cause you to fail smog. Dirty injectors could cause you to fail..bad gas cap,bad timing.
