l have a 2003 evo 8 and l put a cold air intake do l really need the bov or is the intake ok by itself

I'd recommend the BOV. You will need it because your going to want to get rid of excess air spooled up by the turbo.

Nope. no need for a BOV unless u plan on getting an EVC or MBC to increase the PS l of the turbo.

and if ur 8 starts stalling, chuck the intake & stick the stock box back on. that is what happened to mine, l was running the HKS RS Intake & my 8 started stalling once a day. l installed the stock box back on & that problem was solved.

go onto evoultionm.net for better advice. u will see several different theories on an intake in an EVO. Shiv & some will argue that putting an intake in an EVO does nothing since it may be sucking in more air, but you're sucking in more hot air so u may actually lose power. while others will argue against it.

personally, of all the mods l have, the HKS RS intake gave me the most power on the butt dyno. but again, it stalled my car once a day cuz it was running too lean.
