When buying a lowering racing kit how much is too much for the lowering rate.

l know there is about 5-6 inches on OEM shocks between the tire and wheel well. But l was looking at a B&G S2K kit and it is lowering the car 1.6 inches for both the back and front.

my overall question is when lowering the car how much is a good drop to keep the car from touching the well and keeping good handling.

l am new to modifying cars so bear with me....and thanks for all the impute.

Anything past 2 inches is too much. Around 1.6 inches is the norm.

It all depends on the look your going for and the size of wheels you have kinda make a difference, If your going for the show car look then slam it to ground but if your using it for daily driving and for your enjoyment then 1.6 is a good height.

My brother has a Nissan Maxima lowered 1.7 inches with 17inch wheels does not rub and gives it that aggressive look. You should also consider coilovers. Good luck happy modifying :)
