Can you fit an evo engine in a regular lancer cause l was looking at the cars and l was wondering if a 2008-09 evo engine fits in a 08-09 lancer ES or if theres anything l can do to customize something to make it fit just in case it does not fit

Now to properly answer ur question, u will spend more money converting it over than just buying the lancer Evo. You need the motor & AWD tranny which will be $10,000-$15,000, then u need a complete engine wiring harness $1,200, a EVO ECU $1,400, motor tranny mounts $600, shift linkages $500, axles $400, differential $1,500, driveshaft $1,000, a different custom exhaust to allow clearance for the driveshaft $1,000-$2,000, a shop that can do it & the labor another $5000-$7000.

yes, you can fit an evo is engine into a lancer if you have tons of money to spend but in the end you still have a Lancer with tons of mods. IMO, waste of time and money. If l were you, l would trade in the lancer for the Evo X.
